There's 80,000 people here on 700 acres in the heart of Tennessee. To beat the heat lot's of girls are painting thier boobs and going toppless. Andrew has been photographing each one as they pass. This is our side show entertainment.
Yesterday on the main stage the Kings of Leon played, followed by The Roots, and then Tool. Tool was the head-lining act of the night which means when they played, no other stages had music performances, so everyone, all 80,000 people, where watching Tool.
They made the best use of the main stage by any band thus far, using six screens flashing the art of Alex Grey. They weren't allowing press photographers to take photo's, as Tool has thier own media folk, but Andrew was able to snap a great shot from the crowd.
After that there were several performances on all of the side stages including festival staples like Sound Tribe Sector 9 and The String Cheese Incident. More intersting was the Super Jam, which this year featured ?uestlove of The Roots, Ben Harper, and John Paul Jones of Led Zeppelin. There is no doubt that bootleg recordings of this performance will be circulating on the internet in the near future.
Tonight the Police play, but all I really care about seeing is The Flamming Lips.
