New American Dream

NEW AMERICAN DREAM
About 2 years ago my dreamscape began turning rather dark. I kept finding myself in a nightmare scripted from the classic Zombie horror film.
It started as an escape from NYC, now overrun with soulless, flesh eating monsters. I hiked north with a small band of survivors, marching along a familiar highway now silent, staying close to the trees while listening for Zombie patrol cars.
As we took a break to rest weary feet, I somehow attained lucidity. It dawned on me that we were collectively fabricating this horror show in our minds. I passionately pleaded that if we all just tried real hard, we’d wake up in our cozy cocoons where our real bodies were resting, but they wouldn’t believe me.
I awoke from that dream, and others like it, each time to realize that the “Invasion” has all ready happened.
How else can you explain the fact that millions of Americans watched 2 buildings, actually engineered to withstand multiple airliner impacts, perfectly implode upon their footprints, scattering bone fragments of innocent citizens upon rooftops blocks away. And then, just a few hours later, down comes Tower 7, conveniently pre-packed with explosives, but no one seems to mind.
As we creep closer to the ’08 election, I wonder what other buildings are being prepped with bombs to wage the next 9/11. War mongering as we know leads to fear induced votes and all that money to be made…
Orwell and Eisenhower warned us about the hazards of the military/industrial complex, but apparently we were all to busy chasing the “American Dream” to notice. This vision has turned into a nightmare, but if we all try real hard, I am confident that we can wake up from our slumber and begin manifesting a new emerging and lasting dream of peace on Earth.
