I recently blipped an email to my Tanran Reiki teacher/founder William Bagley to see if he'd be interested in a Q+A session about Reiki and how he the Tanran lineage formed. Reiki is essentially "human jumper-cable-ism".

A series of "attunements" are necessary to essentially "hit the circuit breaker" to allow your hands to channel "chi" aka Ki, life force energy, prana, that which flows through all things, etc. etc. depending on which culture you're addressing, but it's all the same "stuff" just different names for the same thing.

A "Reiki Master" is someone who has received the 3 attunements, which is nothing more then a series of symbols being "drawn" over your head/crown chakra. The term "Master" however is, in my opinion, a misnomer. It only means that the practitioner has the ability to channel chi freely, but not necessarily that they have extensive experience and really no what they're doing.

Would you hand someone a hammer and tool belt and call them a Master carpenter?  No, you wouldn't so, the same should apply for the Reiki community.  I refer to myself as a Tanran Reiki Practioner.  Ir's one of many hats that I wear. 

The history behind the rediscovery of this innate but repressed ability in all humans is quite the tumble down the rabbit hole that Will we begin communicating to those who are interested.  This Wiki link for "Reiki" is a good place to start:

I like the idea of an interview being done and do not mind if the blog environment is political. There are some messages worth sharing in this regard anyway. I do find that some of the conspiracy stuff out there creates a pessimistic and self defeating feeling. It might be good to have some awareness of what is going on in the world, but if some of the theories I hear are true, then the battle has already been lost (which I do not think is the case). I think things will get better and that much of the conspiracy stuff is, in the words of Timothy Leary, "typical mammalian politics". As Homo Sapiens fades out of existence to be replaced by Homo Telepathicus, this will change naturally. If ordinary apes battle for water holes in the desert and ordinary humans battle for oil in the same desert, then their politics are too myopic to stop the shift into another paradigm where energy scarcity will not exist. Paradoxically, controlling the oil as a power base has two weaknesses, (a) you have to sell it to people like us and keep it affordable enough for us to keep buying it, and (b) it is a finite supply so eventually an alternative will be needed. A large number of prescription drugs require petroleum distillates, so that if the oil runs out, then allopathic medicine may need to change some too.

Will is the closet thing to a "Yoda" figure I have in my life. Except, instead of heading off to the Degobah system, I punched the Subaru to light speed and landed in Ashland, OR back in the fall of 2000. I wonder if Will's view's on our energy economy were discovered during an indulgence in Leary's magic potions. I wish I lived on the 'alice in wonderland' planet where energy scarcity could cease to exist, but sadly I'm stuck on earth.

Mr. Bush,

You're stuck with your head in the sand.  Don't you have something better to do with your time then leave senseless comments?  Shouldn't you be hard at work sorting out all the giant fiascos you've created in your 2 terms at the White House?  

With all the blood on your hands, should be renamed the Red House.

Will doesn't even "do" coffee.  Green tea is about a "buzzed" as he gets.

Leary was a puppet of the CIA.  Read all about in a really spooky book about the dark side of the 60s.  The old south vowed to rise again so they slowly infiltrated the govt..  If you can't beat, then join, then hijack it from the inside.
