Building A Strong Wyoming

Hosted by Wyoming State Representative Keith Gingery of Jackson Hole
More on Carbon

As I previously posted, the Wyoming Legislature is moving ahead with carbon capture and sequestration legislation.  Primarily, the bills have been drafted by the Republican Leadership, including in particular the Speaker Pro Tem.  Governor Freudenthal is getting on board to the Republican Leadership initiative and has now invited the Western Governors to meet with him in Cheyenne this week to explain and discuss the concepts and ideas of the Republican Leadership bills.  It is very exciting that this effort has become a bipartisan effort and that the Governor is getting on board with these Republican drafted bills.  Finding answers to this balance between energy needs and climate change needs bipartisan answers.  It is definitely interesting to see a Democrat Governor pushing the Republican agenda so hard.  But I think he understands that poltiical manuevering to get credit has no place in finding solutions in this important arena.
