I never heard back from them, but don't think I could've managed living in Toronto anyway.

I felt the 3 questions requested were worthy of my time. This is a reply to just one of them. The other 2 will follow. It was nice to write something different other then the usual Chi'bagoda Project hustle.

If you've “OD'd” on my 9/11 truth bashing, please skim down to “the prophecy of war profiteering”.

Your time and consideration is greatly appreciated.

Will we shift from the service of war to the service of life?

"He who wishes to secure the good of others, has already secured his own." -Confucius

"I can't stand it, I know you planned it. I am gonna set it straight this Watergate" -Beastie Boys/ Sabotage

We will only make the shift from a service of War to the service of Life if we can eliminate the huge profits associated with the "business" of war. This will require a restructuring of our government systems that enforce a "separation of corporation and state". Defining the roles of "Church and State" was a great beginning, but history is repeating itself and we're basically back where we started.

Democracy in this nation has essentially sold to the highest bidder. We are currently experiencing our own form of feudalism.

The Republican Party, who are merely puppets of the monstrous military/industrial/oil complex love war. They view it as a corporate venture. Many believe, myself included, that the trigger of our most recent conflicts, aka “9/11”, was actually choreographed by our own kind. The ultra wealthy elite families running the “independent within the government” Federal Reserve Bank also being involved.

When the government goes to war, where else do they borrow the money to wage it? All that interest sure adds up while basic services in this country continue to plummet.

The facts, figures, time line and most importantly the physics behind the so-called “terrorist” attack on Sept. 11 overwhelm with evidence that it was a pre-planned attack. All of which has been ignored, denied or repressed by our current administration, because they were a part of it all.

The internet is overflowing with sources describing how this conspiracy "theory" is actually irrefutable “fact”. No steel framed building has ever collapsed due to fire. It is literally impossible for jet fuel to generate enough heat to melt steel by at least 1000 degrees.

The steel infrastructure in the Twin towers was excessively overbuilt and intentionally designed to withstand multiple 707 impacts. Mysteriously, it was found perfectly collapsed upon it's footprint in 30' sections. Photographs reveal that these beams were cleanly sliced at 45 degrees. A feat only accomplished by explosives. Traces of which have been found on site.

I am most confident that if an independently crafted replica of the Twin Towers were created, only a few floors would be necessary, and the hijacking were re-simulated we would not see any collapse at all. I honestly doubt that the remote controlled 757 would even completely penetrate the building. I look forward to the opportunity to see this event with my own eyes. Hopefully, at a future Burning Man.

There were also countless eye witness accounts, 503 officially documented, which were ignored by the "official" 9/11research committee. Most of those interviewed describe hearing explosive sounds that are eerily similar to planned building detonations.

There are also visible "squibs", a term from the demolition industry, in recorded video footage of the perfect implosion. These are the explosive "puffs" seen as the floors mysteriously "pancake" upon itself. Reviewing the clip of the initial plane crash will also reveal an explosive flash just a split second before impact. The hijacked planes also departed from an airport whose security was managed by George W. Bush's brother Marvin.

And then there is Tower 7, which apparently was "weakened" by the Twin Tower collapse. According to Larry Silverstein, who gained a 99 year lease on the WTC complex in the spring of 2001, a decision was "regretfully made" to "pull" the building around 5:30 pm on Sept.11. The building was vacated by 11:30am.

Does this mean that a demolition crew arrived on the scene in that short time, amongst all that chaos, and packed the 47 story building with explosives to choreograph the graceful, 6.5 second implosion?

Or, does it mean that the building was all ready prepared to be triggered for demolition and merely required a "push of the button" to detonate? The latter is the only realistic response, yet our monopolized media never approaches this fact that 9/11 was a pre-planned event.

Towers 3-6 sustained far more damage from the Twin Towers collapse and yet their steel frames stood until they were demolished by clean up crews months later in mid December. What is also critical to note is that what was "regretfully" lost in the Tower 7 collapse were documents pertaining to the Enron scandal and the electricity "shenanigans" that effected California.

Larry Silverstein, due to his lease negotiations, received an insurance settlement of 12 billion dollars and maintained the rite to rebuild. The real estate saying "location, location, location" has been taking to apocalyptic levels, right in front of the worlds eyes. Our so-called government, however, still “officially” blames Saudi Arabian hijackers who were confirmed to not only be lousy pilots, but many are in fact still alive today.

The American people must wake up to the reality of our current situation. We are at war with ourselves. 1984 is now. Orwell tried to warn us, but it seems we're more concerned about Britney Spears then the darkness infecting our government. Have we been domesticated by fear or stupidity? Likely a combination of both.

The Prophecy of War Profiteering

For the majority, war is a hell, but for a few who reside comfortably in their gated communities, war is a trillion dollar business venture. It says on the US currency "In God we trust" and as a nation founded by "Christians" we all know the commandment "though shall not kill". The sad and twisted irony is obvious and yet the atrocities continue unabated.

The cycle is complete, but this time the "money changers" have built themselves a new "temple" and are using this power to fund the killing of at least an estimated 300,000 innocent Iraqi civilians and more then 4000 American soldiers, all in the name of "liberation" and "democracy". The only "Mission Accomplished" was to plunge this planet into chaos and turmoil.

The only effective solution to this mayhem is a globally unified government system. An increase in the governing powers of the United Nations will be a crucial step in this direction of global stability. Perhaps, we will need to become the "super heroes" of our youth and actually create a "Justice League" dedicated to promoting and supporting world peace. I am ready when you are.

The USA has become far worse then the empire it originally ousted to become this nation. We are the "Redcoats" now. Our current conquests are not "liberating" anyone, but merely funneling funds into corporate machines of war. Contractors in Iraq at times have played football with bundled wads of Ben Franklins. Then of course, there was the C1-30, crammed with pallets loaded with 12 billion in cash that was never seen again.

We learned in Vietnam, also a war based on lies since the Gulf of Tonkin incident has been confirmed to be false, that you can't effectively combat "guerrillas" in the jungle. US forces are now we realizing that the "concrete jungles" of Iraq are proving to be perhaps an even more difficult an arena to control. Let us hope that when this fiasco is finally resolved we will have the wisdom to ascend to more peaceful political practices.

Instead of dropping bombs how about burritos? If we are supposedly a Christian nation, and the great Jewish nomadic carpenter said to love and feed your enemy, then why are we still killing people? The US military's insensitive policy towards human live is merely fueling the inferno burning in the middle east, not putting it out. Meanwhile, our own soldiers are being treated as disposable pawns.

At the very least, we have the technology to develop non-lethal weaponry systems. Air-powered paint ball guns that shoot a tranquilizer projectile “ball” would be an easy start. They ammunition could be designed to break the skin, quickly sedating the adversary, instead of killing them. Various gas bombs could also readily be developed that wouldn't terminate life, but merely subdue it for a few hours while their hostile weapons are destroyed and left in their laps.

Optimally, a “mind expansion” compound would be incorporated to hopefully induce an inner illumination to the senselessness of war. It's time to begin opening our opponents “3rd eye” instead of this souless “eye for an eye” approach. It is clear that our government leaders have all ready gone blind long ago.

The Dalai Lama has stated that "War is outdated" and I do believe this to be true. However, there will be an inevitable transition period approaching us where corruption and oppression must be promptly and gracefully eradicated from this planet. We can no longer tolerate atrocities and genocide to continue, even in lands that do not contain significant oil reserves. It is only when we realize that we are all "One" will we finally have won this deceptive "war on terror" and shift towards a service of Life instead of War.

HELLO NASTY

Figure its about time to give some props to the Beastie Boys

In
my efforts to liberate the minds of fellow friends and family to the
overwhelming atrocities behind 9/11 I am met with a consistent
reaction. “I refuse to believe that our own government would lie and
assassinate it’s own people” is a reoccurring theme.

These
ignorant responses obviously come from people who haven’t done their
homework. We now know that the “gulf of tonkin” incident which led to
the Vietnam War was a lie. It’s also been documented that the attack on
Pearl Harbor was encouraged and allowed to unfold. The Lusitania set
sail pre-packed with explosives so that when it was inevitably hit by
german torpedoes it quickly sank and off to WW I we went. The
Republican war drums now bang for Iran and it’s confirmed that we’ve
all ready been lied to about their “nucular” programs. They hunger for
WW 3.

I’ve always been a fan of Star Wars, but how did George
Lucas know that his futuristic tale would become such a perfect
metaphor for our current political crisis? The Death Star is our White
House and even Cheney agrees when he joked he was all ready wearing his
Darth Vader costume last Halloween.

We are now collectively
engaged in own own global mythology, classic “Good vs. Evil”. Who wins
remains to be seen, but will decide all of our fates. This so called
“war on terror” is a choreographed deception just like the false
pretenses for WW I, II, Vietnam and likely soon Iran.

We all have
minds, but they are worthless if you allow your TV to do your thinking
for you. Please turn it off and do your homework before its to late.
The truth is out there. It’s waiting for you online.

Joshua Doolittle
Schenectady, NY

Here's some good places to start. Just the captured photos and video footage is enough to confirm that 9/11 was a Bush/Bin Laden choreogphed "Pearly Harbor" type incident. Domesticated Americans are easily corralled. Time to wake up. Our own government is perpetuating this madness...

Please watch when these documentaries you have some time, merely the tip of the iceberg, but a good place to start:

9/11 Truth: Steel Framed Buildings Don't Collapse From Fire (8:55)

http://youtube.com/watch?v=nnnjIzamnJo

9/11 Truth: MIT Engineer Jeff King Says WTC Demolished(10:59)

http://youtube.com/watch?v=q8XToX7aSdg&feature=related

9/11 Truth: What Happened to Building 7(9:00)

http://youtube.com/watch?v=iEuJimaumW4&feature=related

These are both longer, about an hour:

Loose Change:

http://youtube.com/watch?v=1Yx9NRX37SM

Zeitgeist:

http://youtube.com/watch?v=_dmPchuXIXQ

Your time and consideration is greatly appreciated.

On the Deck, Star Trek: interview with William Bagley

I recently blipped an email to my Tanran Reiki teacher/founder William Bagley to see if he'd be interested in a Q+A session about Reiki and how he the Tanran lineage formed. Reiki is essentially "human jumper-cable-ism".

A series of "attunements" are necessary to essentially "hit the circuit breaker" to allow your hands to channel "chi" aka Ki, life force energy, prana, that which flows through all things, etc. etc. depending on which culture you're addressing, but it's all the same "stuff" just different names for the same thing.

A "Reiki Master" is someone who has received the 3 attunements, which is nothing more then a series of symbols being "drawn" over your head/crown chakra. The term "Master" however is, in my opinion, a misnomer. It only means that the practitioner has the ability to channel chi freely, but not necessarily that they have extensive experience and really no what they're doing.

Would you hand someone a hammer and tool belt and call them a Master carpenter? No, you wouldn't so, the same should apply for the Reiki community. I refer to myself as a Tanran Reiki Practioner. Ir's one of many hats that I wear.

The history behind the rediscovery of this innate but repressed ability in all humans is quite the tumble down the rabbit hole that Will we begin communicating to those who are interested. This Wiki link for "Reiki" is a good place to start:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reiki

Here's Will's response from my email inquiry:
I like the idea of an interview being done and do not mind if the blog environment is political. There are some messages worth sharing in this regard anyway. I do find that some of the conspiracy stuff out there creates a pessimistic and self defeating feeling. It might be good to have some awareness of what is going on in the world, but if some of the theories I hear are true, then the battle has already been lost (which I do not think is the case). I think things will get better and that much of the conspiracy stuff is, in the words of Timothy Leary, "typical mammalian politics". As Homo Sapiens fades out of existence to be replaced by Homo Telepathicus, this will change naturally. If ordinary apes battle for water holes in the desert and ordinary humans battle for oil in the same desert, then their politics are too myopic to stop the shift into another paradigm where energy scarcity will not exist. Paradoxically, controlling the oil as a power base has two weaknesses, (a) you have to sell it to people like us and keep it affordable enough for us to keep buying it, and (b) it is a finite supply so eventually an alternative will be needed. A large number of prescription drugs require petroleum distillates, so that if the oil runs out, then allopathic medicine may need to change some too.

Blessings,
Will

Will is the closet thing to a "Yoda" figure I have in my life. Except, instead of heading off to the Degobah system, I punched the Subaru to light speed and landed in Ashland, OR back in the fall of 2000. Receiving the attunements and activating the flow of cosmic energy out your hands is the closet thing to "taking the red pill" I've ever experienced. "Welcome to a new reality" is what I was told by my sis Grace and that advice has proven correct.

Learn all about Badgers here...

April CREG Report

The Consensus Revenue Estimating Group (CREG) has come out with their April Report. With only two months left in FY 08, it looks like the State is going to come out ahead with revenue. The bottom line is that we should exceed the estimate by $54 million. The final numbers will be known in July. Severance Taxes have been coming in larger than expected. Natural Gas is 12.1% ahead of what they had been estimating.

Understanding Property Taxes

The first part to understand is that we have 3 different classes of property. Minerals are assessed at their full 100% value. Industrial property is assessed at a rate of 11.5%. And residential property, which is what we are discussing, is assessed at 9.5%. What this means is that if your house has fair market value as determined by the assessor of $100,000 (I know that is unrealistic for Teton County, but I am bad at math, so I have to use easy numbers) then you multiply by the 9.5% assessment rate, which gives you an assessment value of $9500. The mills are then taxed against the $9500 (the assessed value) and not the fair market value ($100,000 in this example). In Teton County we have about 60 mills right now, so the 60 mills would be taxed against the $9500, which gives you a tax bill of $570. (a mill is a tenth of a penny).

The County Commissioners set the mill levy for the next year every August. It is rare to see anyone there in attendance. Some mills are mandatory and the commissioners have no discretion. And before I talk about the different mills, it is useful to know the history of school finance. It used to be (prior to 2000) that your local school district was dependent on the property taxes collected in that county. This caused disparity. The mineral rich counties had nice schools and the non-mineral school districts struggled. The new system is that all of the property taxes for schools are collected in each county and put into one big pot of money in Cheyenne. The money is then re-distributed back to the school districts based on the number of kids enrolled in their schools. This has created a fairer school finance system.

District Levy 25 mills (mandatory)

Hospital 3 (the hospital has been debating going private, which would take these 3 mills away)

Conservation 1

Town Levy 8 (the town does none. This is a big deal. We are the only town to do no property tax. They rely on sales tax instead)

Special Districts

School Recreation 1

Fire 3 (we only do .5 in our county and it is included in the county 9 mills, so really we do 0)

Cemetery 3 (paid for out of county general fund, so we have 0)

Then on top of these ones, there are additional costs depending on what neighborhood you live in. For example the Aspens charges $110 per lot that is added on to their tax bill to pay for water and sewer. The Bar Y charges an extra $1000. Granite Ridge tacks on an additional 16 mills for their operations.

The other piece of information to know is that 1 mill brings in about $1 million. But because assessment are going up, a mill will bring in more than a million this year.

So which mills do you tackle? Well for starters, the county has discussed implementing another penny of sales tax and reduce their 9 mills down accordingly. Thus the same revenue comes in, but through sales tax rather than property tax. This has benefits because then the visitors are helping to pay for services rather than just homeowners. The hospital has stated in the past that the $3 million that they get from property tax is a very small part of their revenue picture. It may be time to look at reducing or eliminating those 3 mills.

I should also point out that there are a lot of other potential mills available that our county doesn’t do, such as Museum, airport, building fund, county bond repayments, community colleges, band concert levy (not joking on that one), police pension levy, senior citizen center, flood control, regional transportation, downtown development, etc.

A mill in Teton County means a lot different than a mill in Campbell County (coal country). They can keep their mills low because one mill brings in a lot more money than our mill.

I think at this point the most interesting discussion going on is about implementing a new sales tax and decreasing the county 9 mills accordingly. In Wyoming the first 4 pennies are split with 70% to the state and 30% to the county and town. Then the 5th penny is our Special Excise Tax for special projects like pathways. The 6th penny is the local option sales tax which all of goes to the county and town. Presently we do 6 pennies, so the 4 mandatory pennies, plus the Special Excise penny, and the local option penny. We have the option of adding a 7th penny that is also for local use just like the 6th penny. One penny brings in about $10 million per year to the county and town.

I hope this was helpful.

High Property Taxes

Like many of you, I just got my property tax assessment in the mail this week. My property taxes have gone up 57% in just the past 2 years. I can adjust some of my finances in order to take the hit of an extra $1200 I have to pay this year, but how does a retiree on a fixed income adjust their income to compensate for this huge tax increase? If there was ever going to be property tax reform in Wyoming, this past legislative session was the year. The Wyoming Legislature brought forward numerous ideas and bills. It really looked like we were going to make a change, but at the last minute, some special interest groups lobbied hard to kill the reform movement. I had proposed a homestead exemption. The Governor had proposed a targeted relief program for the elderly. Rep. Olsen had proposed a cap on rate of increase each year and many others had other ideas. I started early last year and traveled the state to different special interest group meetings trying to convince these different groups to back property tax reform. I really thought we were making progress and it is so disappointing after so much time and effort. We will try again next year, but in the meantime, I wanted to point out what you can do now in order to find some relief from these high property tax increases.

The State of Wyoming presently has 4 active relief programs. If you are a veteran or a surviving spouse of a veteran you can get up to $3000 exempted from your assessed valuation. If you are over the age of 65 or over 18 and disabled and you meet certain income levels, you can receive potentially up to $900 off of your tax bill. Teton and Sheridan Counties have special programs that allow you to place the 2nd half of your property tax bill on your home as a lien and it doesn’t have to be paid back until you sell the home. The legislature did pass the Property Tax Refund Program this past session that refunds ½ of your property tax bill if your income does not exceed 2/3 of the median gross income for Teton County. If you think you may be eligible, I would urge you to call our local county assessor, Cathy Toolson, (733-4960) and talk to her about these programs.

I have been working on trying to cap the rate of increase of your property taxes. Most people can understand a 5-10% increase each year. A 57% increase, as in my own personal case, is hard for anyone to understand. Another solution I have proposed is a homestead exemption, which deducts a set amount from your assessed valuation. The bill I introduced this year would have saved you about $400 off of your tax bill. In the meantime, you can continue to support Mayor Barron and the town council for their valiant effort in being the only town (excluding Van Tassel and Lost Springs) that does not impose any property tax. This has been a huge benefit to those on fixed incomes within the town limits. You should also voice your support to our county commissioners for continuing to keep our county mills at the lowest level in the state. There are things that we can be looking at though. There are other mill levies that the county and town do not control. We should be talking to some of these other governmental entities about lowering their mill levies when their coffers are flush. Just reducing one mill, can have a significant impact on your property tax bill. Also, we should continue to support the efforts of our county assessor, Cathy Toolson, and her hard working deputies that are working tirelessly to ensure a fair and equitable system of assessment. Please email me at kgingery@wyoming.com with any ideas you may have as to how to tackle this issue.

This concerned me enough to respond to your words.

The current Dalai Lama, a Nobel Peace Prize laureate has stated that "war is outdated". The experiences since the US invaded Iraq are proving this statement to be true. This realization, however, is unfortunately not the result of enlightened consciousness, but the exact opposite.

War has become outdated not because of superior hi-tech weaponry, but due to the fact that the insurgents have resorted to fanatically primal levels to further their cause.

Specifically, war has become outdated, because you can never win when you there is an endless supply of fundamental martyrs willing to transform themselves into human guided cruise missiles.

You write fervently about how important it is to win this war, but it appears to myself and millions of other concerned global citizens that it is all ready lost. Of coure, we now know that the WMDs turned out to be "Weapons of Mass Delusion" and the preemptive strike was never justified in the first place. Please, shake a little salt on those "freedom fries".

A troop surge is merely a desperate attempt to prolong the inevitable and dump that responsibility on Democratic hands after '08 elections. It is important to remind you that the "disgrace forever" you mention rest solely on the Bush regime, not the entire United States.

You also state that "we did not choose to start this war", but the facts, figures, and especially the physics behind 9/11 reveal an entirely different story. It points to an "inside job". A "Pearl Harbor" type incident choreographed to initiate the Iraqi conflict. War is big business after all and if business is slow, then why not start a war?

I suspect that the Iraq fiasco will end like an old "Scooby Doo" rerun. When the mask of Bin Laden is finally removed, we'll see Dick Cheney's grimacing face. "Rats, those meddling kids."

Joshua capitalist", efforts will then fuel a Non Profit wing focused on educational outreach efforts around this lovely orbiting sphere we all call "Home." These clinics will promote regional sustainable development utilizing locally accessible bamboo sources. They will also provide us essential engineering research to then be integrated back into our For Profit ventures.
<br will allow the homeowner to also be the architect. Dimensional inputs and insulation strategy, along with latitude coordinate, can create their future abode virtually on our website. It will then emerge on their site a few months later, specifically tuned to its location to provide passive-solar benefits.

Once our progressive business gears gain momentum, we will systematically be able to address global housing needs, combat global warming, and transform the global economy, while manifesting a profitable enterprise that will be poised to solve other challenges that need to be addressed. These primarily include sustainable energy, transportation, food and clothing production. Bamboo will play a role in all of these efforts. These designs are all ready simmering in the back burners of my section, PlanetJH Weekly 10.24.7]

Note: by using the word "retard" to describe our current president, George Bush, I use the word not in disrespect of the "developmentally disabled" community. I have worked with D.D. adults and youth out at C-V Ranch and at a summer camp in upstate NY. My experiences profoundly sparked levels of compassion and patience that I never imagined even existed within my being. Those jobs were profoundly transformative for me.

My choice is the word "retard" was in reference to this definition from Dictionary.com:

Noun) a person who is stupid, obtuse, or ineffective in some way: a hopeless social retard.

Also, as the few skate punk hardcore music fans out there may remember, "Taken the Retards to the Zoo" was a song from the late 80s written and performed by an old favorite band from my youth "The Dead Milkmen". My title choice was also a bit of an inside joke. You can watch a live performance here:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QwxgL1wdRFc

(please cut/paste if linkage malfunctions, the PlanetJH Staff have yet to inform me how to post images and confirm web links, still waiting for a little help...)

While visiting Youtube, you may also need to watch/listen to live performances of "Punk Rock Girl" and, of course the all time classic "Bitchin Camaro".

TAKE THE RETARDS TO THE ZOO

Our current president, the Great Decider, the one who makes many decisions, has regularly made numerous comments about his poor grades while an undergraduate at Yale University: “To the ‘C’ students, I say, ‘You too can be President of the United States.’”I suspect that the reason for George W. Bush’s repeated public self-degradation is that he is aware of his impending doom.

When conspiracy “theories” are inevitably proven to be “fact” and Bush stands trial for crimes against humanity, he will attempt to use his blatantly dismal intelligence to escape punishment. He’ll likely say “Hey, I got a low C average, I am the dumbest president this nation has ever seen, I just do what Dick and my Daddy tell me to do, so cut me some slack, don’t mess with Texas!!"

A few blocks from the White House of Cards is the D.C. Zoo. I suggest that the only slack this nation should bestow upon Bush for the death, destruction and financial waste that he initiated through his senseless, profit-driven invasion of Iraq and Afghanistan is to engage in a slight remodel of the orangutan exhibit area. This shall be his future home, along with bunk beds for Cheney and Chumpsfield.

We can add a dirt track so he can ride around on his mountain bike to get some exercise and fresh air. The Three Stooges can swing around to their hearts content, while the rest of world can feel safe, free from their empirical, greed driven, desires. At the D.C. zoo, tourists will come from all over the world to see the pariahs perform in person. They’ll pose for pictures and feed the soul-less monkeys “freedom fries” through the bars.

— Joshua Doolittle

http://chi-bagoda.gaia.com/

Your time and consideration is greatly appreciated!

Iodine Deficiency/Cancer link

The big problem with the US health care arena is that it's so heavily controlled by the pharmaceutical corporations. They are the major puppeteers in manipulating government policies. Please see "Sicko" by Michael Moore for informative edutainement.

Recently, evidence is showing that the rise in cancer rates in this nation, particularly breast and prostrate, appear to be related to a deficiency in iodine in the American diet. Please consider increasing seaweed into your diet as it is a natural and potent source of iodine that is readily absorbed by your body.

Research has also shown that Japanese women who eat a traditional diet, which is high in seaweed, have very low rates of breast cancer.
